FAQs
Q: Google chrome identifies the program as "malicious," what can I do?
A: Go to the downloads section for chrome, and choose to allow the file, as shown above
Q:A security program on my computer deletes the file as soon as I download it because it's "unsafe." What do I do?
A:All the games are completely safe. I'm not trying to give people viruses. If you don't believe they're safe just ask one of the thousands of people who have downloaded from here. To temporarily stop your program from deleting the file(s), search on the internet or in your security program's "support" section for how to temporarily turn off download insight or download screening. Then download the file and extract to the folder. After this you can delete the original compressed file itself. (It's only the compressed file that your security program believes is causing a problem.) Afterwards, be sure to turn the download insight (or whatever your program calls it) back on to keep your computer secure. For more help on this send me a PM on the forums or ask here, or email the support address at [email protected].
Q:I'm playing New Prophecy, and I just got the really big territory maps. My game is running at about a frame per minute. How can I make it speed up!? It takes me hours just to walk across my territory! HELP!
A:This is because you have an older computer. You will need to play the game on a newer system for it to work at desirable speeds.
Q:My security system won't let me run the program! Is it unsafe?
A:No, this is just because it is a newer program and not many people have used it.
Q:My game is missing a file. What do I do?
A:Post a comment in "Glitch Report!" saying what it's missing. It will be added back in the next version of the game.
Q:There is a problem in gameplay! What do I do!?
A:Read the "Bugs and Errors" section, then post a comment in "Glitch Report!" describing the problem.
Q:The game just won't run/isn't working! What's wrong!?
A:Your computer may not have the system requirements. Check them on the RPG Maker XP website. The link to it is one the "Citations and Links" page. If you do have the requirements, post a comment in "Glitch Report!" describing the error.
Q:I went to the download link, and it says the file has been removed! What should I do!?
A:This means that the a new version is being updated, and you went to the link after the old one had been taken off, but not before the new one was put on. Check back on this website in the "Download" section in a minute or so, and make sure to refresh your webpage so that the new download link appears. If this doesn't work, it means that www.4shared.com deleted the downloadable file due to update inactivity. (No updates occurred for 30 days.) If this happens, you MUST leave a comment telling so. This requires no information, and it lets us know that we need to put up a new file.
Q:I want to update my game to the newest version so I can have the newest features and eliminate some glitches, but I've made good progress in the game and don't want to have to start over! What do I do!?
A:It is very easy to update your game without starting over. Visit the "Updating Your Game" section and follow the steps listed there.
Q:I've got a button on my computer that is completely broken! How can I play the game now!?
A:Press F1 during gameplay, go to "Keyboard Options" and look for another key that doesn't have a specific game function, like V or B. Set it to the button you need.
Q:I'm at the part of the game where you have to get rid of the dog pack, but have absolutely NO CLUE whatsoever as to where the gorge is!!! Where is the gorge!?
A:This is the only game question that is answered on FAQs. The gorge is found by going through the small opening on the left side of Fourtrees.
Q:I'm trying to move through an opening in the game, and it looks like it's the way to another map (i.e. rocks or ferns lining a tunnel or passage toward it), but I can't go through! What do I do!?
A:Try pressing C (or your set action button). This may have been just a simple event mistake on my part. Then, please leave a comment that tells which map has the problem. Thanks!
Q:I have a Mac computer. Can I still play the game?
A:Yes, but you will probably need a special program to help it run on a Mac. One program like this is called Bootcamp.
